"Amazing location, private access, and private parking spot under building. Room was relatively clean. 9.1/10 overall rating! I would stay again! Check in: Getting the keys/ parking was a little tricky, but once you do it for the first time, you memorize it for the trip. Location: Heart of Waikiki, plenty of food and shops just downstairs, great views from the UNIT as well. Laundry: Stayed a week, so had to do laundry, laundry room was very close (same floor/hallway near room) - was easy and clean! (You buy your own soap and pay with a laundry card you can reload downstairs) Sleeping: Based on the reviews I expected the loud busy streets but around 10:30-12 everything dies down outside so had no trouble sleeping, plus AC was a little loud but did not bother me at all. Bed and sofa bed were comfortable, just make sure to put some flat sheets over the sofa bed. Cleanliness: Everything looked clean but when you get closer you notice some dirty spots like, around the microwave, or the vent in the bathroom, or even the AC unit. It didn’t bother me too much just pointing it out. Parking: Nice big spaces, and the designated spot was easily accessible! Only thing I would say for others to watch out is it is a (6 foot clearance for vehicles!) Overall would stay again, very affordable and great location! I felt very safe in the building, because of its “key access only” feature. I just wish there was more than ONE key fob…. Notes: Buy shampoo and conditioner, and laundry soap…"

"Thank you for sharing your listing with us ! We have stayed at marine surf before and I’m glad we decided to stay again! During our stay they did have a portable single electric stove that worked great for us! Cut the cost of eating out every meal , especially breakfast for us. The walk is about 1 block or so from public access to the beach and I walked to Honolulu coffee every morning ( delicious lattes ) Location is great. Waikiki beach, restaurants, etc. It can get loud on the weekends but it’s what you get for prime Realestate in Waikiki. Would definitely stay again !"

Location, location, location and free parking. Perfect base from which to explore the island during the day and then come back, freshen up and enjoy the sunset, shops, restaurant and bars to complete the night. Place was clean when we arrived. Did not come with toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, body wash) as indicated in the listing, only two small hotel bars of soap. But we brought our own so no issues. Light sleepers should come prepared with ear plugs, but we didn't mind and after a long day out in the sun had no problem sleeping through it. Host was excellent at communication and checked in to make sure everything was going smooth. Great budget option for travelers who don't want/need the "resort" experience.

"We had a wonderful stay at Terry’s Place. Location is incredible. just steps away from the shops, restaurants and short walk to waikiki beach. its in central waikiki. The free assigned parking is a huge plus. Checking in and out was so easy as Terry provided us a brief instructions beforehand. The room size is perfect for family of 3 and it comes with the basic stuffs you need. We will definitely be back."

We love the location and parking spot, only 5’ walk to Waikiki center and the beach. Many restaurants and shops are close as well. Communication with Terry is quick and helpful. Like others said, there are noises at night due to the location is right in the center of Waikiki, but not a big deal to us since we spent most of the time outside. If you only need a place to sleep, this is a great value, very convenient.

"Had a good stay! Would I recommend this place? Probably not. Here are some pros and cons for others considering this place: Pros: -Great location! Literally less than 5 minutes walk to the Waikiki beach. -The owners (or I believe property managers) were excellent on communication. Gave me the full details days before check in and we talked about early check in. She was able to keep me updated on when the cleaning would be done. -Designated parking spot. This was a priority when booking at hotels were charging $50 a day to park there with no guaranteed parking space for you. I love that I can come back anytime and there is a parking space for me. -Decent amount of space for just the two of us. I was worried the full size bed might be too small, but it worked for us! -laundry mat on the same floor! We didn’t use it, but it was nice to have that option. You would have to pay $5 just for the laundry card (without any $$ on there). It’s about $2 to wash or dry. -We were definitely not going to cook anything, so I didn’t care much what the kitchenette has to offer beside a fridge which I wanted to store lots of cold water bottles. The fridge was a regular size fridge! I was expecting a dorm room style one. FYI: they had a single electric burner. -What felt like unlimited hot water! One issue I come across staying in a condo/apartment (and sometimes hotels) is that the hot water is not hot enough if everyone in the building is using it! We did not have that issue at all! Was very surprised by that. Cons: -Biggest one for us was the noise. The walls and glass patio door are basically paper thin. You can hear everything including the neighbors turning on the shower, dryer tumbling, music and drunk people until the am, and the worse - the garbage truck and construction work done at 4am. -Shades are not blackout… not even close. I know this will be a problem for a lot of people so I wanted to mention this. It wasn’t a big deal for us as we don’t normally use blackout shades in our house. -I’m not sure how much they’re paying the cleaning crew, but I would say that they should hire a new crew. It wasn’t filthy dirty, but they literally just keep what you can “see” clean. For example, under the bed and microwave are full of dust/crumbs. My biggest concern was that the window AC unit was full of mold... Hope this helps you decide if you want to stay here or not! And if the Cons aren’t a big deal for you, I think this place is actually decent!"

"The location is excellent, less than 10 minutes to Waikiki Beach and within walking distance to restaurants, stores, and the ABC store. There is a bus stop within 100 meters, so it is also convenient to go to the suburbs. Wifi, kitchen, laundry, and free parking are also included. The apartment is located in the center of the city, so there is some noise at night, but I think it's unavoidable. Recommended for 1 or 2 people."

Everything about my stay here was terrific. The location of the building is very central and close to everything in Waikiki, including restaurants, beach and surfing. The studio has everything you need for a convenient stay and is quite comfortable. The host was very communicative and provided clear instructions for the entire stay. One of the most important benefits is the free parking spot that comes with the unit, if you are planning to rent a car for your stay this is an absolute must and not easy to find in Waikiki.
