From trendy rooftop bars to hidden gems tucked away in bustling streets, Waikiki promises a gastronomic adventure like no other.

Here are a few of our favorite local restaurants near our Waikiki vacation rentals!

Walking Bean Cafe

Walking Bean Cafe Waikiki

Walking Bean Cafe

Check out the best shaved ice spot in town! Located on historic Kuhio Avenue, Walking Bean offers shaved ice with delicious three layers of toppings, fresh fruit syrup, and local coffee beans from Kailua. Don’t miss their must-try signature house-made tofu pudding with Aloha. Satisfy your sweet tooth during your Waikiki vacation with Walking Bean Cafe!

Banan

Banan is a banana-ice cream oasis located right in Waikiki. Banan prides itself on being farm-to table-to farm, composting the local produce they use in their plant-based concoctions back to Oahu’s island farms.

Topped Waikiki

Topped Waikiki is a healthy, affordable, quick-stop shop with modern Korean dishes for under $10. Our faves are the shoyu chicken and tofu bibimbap.

Lanikai Juice

Lanikai Juice is a smoothie-bowl paradise brimming with local produce. Try the Ward location and their famous acai and pitaya bowls!

Lucky Belly

Lucky Belly is an insanely delicious, creative, humbly upscale ramen and bar spot in Chinatown. Their food is unique and incomparable, as is their giant drink menu.

Bangkok Chef

Bangkok Chef in Nuuanu is one of our favorite places! It’s outside of Waikiki, but has affordable and awesome Thai food.

Livestock Tavern

Livestock Tavern offers an array of swanky dishes like beef cheeks and marrow. It’s pricey, but worth it for the exploratory eater.

Little Village

Little Village in Chinatown offers cheap, family-style Chinese food into the later hours.

Barefoot Beach Cafe

Barefoot Beach Cafe is at the end of Waikiki. It’s a magical across-from-the-water, live-music experience with great local food!
