With its stunning views, vibrant ambiance, and endless entertainment options, Waikiki becomes a playground for those seeking a memorable night on the island.

From dive bars to clubs to good ole’ entertainment, here’s a few favorite nightlife spots around Waikiki us locals enjoy year-round:

  • Mai Tai Bar

Mai Tai Bar at Ala Moana Center – an awesome local spot for live music, pau hana (happy hour) and having a great time! On the third floor of Ala Moana Center by California Pizza Kitchen.

  • Kelly O’neills

Kelly O’neills on Lewers St – fun, crazy, loud irish pub with live music almost every night. It’s also open till 4!

  • Suzie Wong’s Hideaway

Suzie Wong’s Hideaway in Waikiki – the best dive/tiki bar ever (in my personal opinion!) We love going to this place with friends and visitors.

  • Arnold’s in Waikiki

Arnold’s in Waikiki – best possible place to start your night! It’s always a good time, cheap drinks, and full of down to earth locals.

  • Bar 35

Bar 35 in Chinatown – has a great outdoor area way in the back (to the left).

  • Duck Butt

Duck Butt in Kakaako – great pupus, drink specials, and karaoke! You only need 8-10 people for a free private room – just call ahead of time to reserve.

  • Hawaiian Brian’s

Hawaiian Brian’s on Kapiolani – a big, weird space with tons of pool tables and live music every night.

  • Nocturna

Nocturna on Ala Moana Blvd – right next to the M. It’s weird, but it’s a bar/gamer’s paradise with free games and giant screens
