Waikiki Beaches

Waikiki is known for its picturesque coastline dotted with multi-colored hotels, surf shops and palm trees. Our favorite beaches are treasured by locals and visitors alike! Please always be sure to pick up any trash, dust off any sand, and respect any and all wildlife.

  • Magic Island Beach Park

Magic Island Beach Park – a great place to watch the sunset, right across from Ala Moana Center. (The ‘magic island’ is the little peninsula on the left).

  • Ft DeRussy Beach

Ft DeRussy Beach in Waikiki – a quick walk or bus ride away. It’s filled with volleyball courts and bbq grills, and you could easily spend a dreamy island day here.

  • Kailua Beach

Kailua Beach – beautiful, turquoise waters and white sand.

  • Makapuu Beach and/or Halona Blowhole

Makapuu Beach and/or Halona Blowhole – these both literally look like heaven. You have to go – just avoid Makapuu when there’s a swell, as it gets decent waves.

  • Waimea Bay in North Shore

Waimea Bay in North Shore – the coolest beach up north. There’s a giant rock to jump off of, and a hike right across the street. Parking is crazy, but you can park at the foodland nearby and walk over to the beach.

  • Kaimana’s in Waikiki

Kaimana’s in Waikiki – located at the very end of Waikiki, across from Kapiolani park and past the Waikiki Aquarium. This is a great spot because it’s right in Waikiki but doesn’t have the crowds or parking challenges of the rest of the beach. It’s a great spot to bbq as well!
